Panamá Norte: what is around you, and what we cannot yet say

NeighborhoodsPanamá NorteData

Short answer: Two Metro lines serve Panamá Norte: Line 1 ends at Villa Zaita (since April 2024) and Line 2 has a Brisas del Golf station (since 2019); a MiBus interchange at Villa Zaita has run since April 2026. Shops, restaurants and sports facilities are well described, but almost only by a developer’s own marketing pages. We have no registry closing prices for the area yet, so we cannot state savings per m².

La Reina del Norte, Brax’s sub-brand run by Jacky, covers a specific area: Brisas del Golf, Villa Zaita, Green Valley, Portanorte, Villa Lucre, El Crisol, Las Cumbres and Quintas del Lago. This note puts together what we could verify about the area (transport, roads, shops, sports) and says plainly where the evidence is thin. It is general information, not advice.

Step 1: how you get around

Line 1 of the Metro was extended to Villa Zaita on April 25, 2024, an investment of $230 million according to Panamá América; the Metro’s director expected about 30,000 daily users at the new terminus, which has parking for 600 vehicles. The interchange for buses and taxis was still to be finished at the time. A MiBus interchange at the station opened on April 13, 2026, and from June 1, 2026 several routes run from it, per La Estrella, including T060 Corredor Norte–Albrook and A096 Vía Panamá Norte–Metro Cerro Viento.

Line 2 has a Brisas del Golf station, elevated on Avenida Domingo Díaz between El Crisol and Cerro Viento and open since April 25, 2019, according to Wikipedia. We did not open the Metro’s own pages, so confirm routes and stops with the Metro and MiBus.

Step 2: what is around, and who says so

Most of what exists on shops, restaurants and sports comes from a single source type: a developer promoting its own project. We list it, name the source and mark the limit. The last row explains why we do not state a saving per square metre.

Savings per m²We cannot state one yet. Registry closings in our index: Santa María $2,993, Costa del Este $2,108, Punta Pacífica resale $1,838, El Cangrejo $1,777 per m² (October 2026). None for Panamá Nortelakilé registry data via Brax’s price index (updated October 7, 2026). Those are apartments; Panamá Norte listings are mostly houses

Step 3: the roads, and what the minutes mean

The minutes in the table come from Porta Norte, a developer, measured by car from its own site, without saying what traffic they assume. They tell you what the developer claims, not what you will experience at 7 a.m. We found no neutral travel times between the eight zones, and we will not invent them: drive the route you would drive every day, at the hour you would drive it, before you decide.

Step 4: price per m², and why we do not state a saving

Our live price index has registry closings for four Panama City barrios and none for Panamá Norte yet. Listing pages show asking prices for houses in the area, which are not closings and are not comparable with apartment prices per m². A saving per m² is the difference between two prices per m² of the same kind of property, multiplied by the area. Until we have registry closings for houses in the area, any figure would be an estimate dressed as a fact.

When we have them, we will publish the comparison with its source and date, including where Panamá Norte is not cheaper.

Step 5: La Reina del Norte, Brax’s option in this area

La Reina del Norte is Brax Realty’s sub-brand for Panamá Norte. Jacky, a sales advisor backed by Brax and working under Brax’s license (Idoneidad JTBR No. 4339), looks after it. The landing page (in Spanish) has a request-information form; the videos and the first listings are still to come, and we will say in each listing how Brax is paid. Brax is paid by developers on new-build units, so we are not independent from those sales; have your own lawyer review any purchase. We are not saying the area is better or cheaper than another: we are saying that someone from our team can show you options here with sources and dates.

What this does not tell you. Most facts about shops, restaurants, sports, schools and travel times come from one developer’s marketing page. Transport facts come from news reports and Wikipedia, not from the Metro or MiBus. We have no registry closing prices for Panamá Norte, so no saving per m² is stated. We did not cover safety, flooding, noise, condominium fees or crime, which matter and which we could not verify. Nothing here is advice.

We cannot say yet. We have registry closing prices per m² for four other barrios but none for Panamá Norte, and listing prices there are mostly for houses, which are not comparable with apartments.

Mostly from one developer’s marketing page (Porta Norte), so they are claims by the developer; we found no independent directory.
